In this research he have tried to design a feasible system for that area and considered a hybrid system that contains diesel-PV-biogas system. Char Nizam (Latitude: N 22.68, Longitude: E 90.65) is one of the island with 1800 inhabitants in Bhola district of Barisal division in Bangladesh. There are at most thirty small and isolated islands in Bangladesh. Proper utilization of renewable energy is the up most choice for solving the power crisis in Bangladesh because it requires low cost and less risk. Bangladesh has good prospects of renewable power generation. The challenge of energy accessibility needs to be understood in terms of availability as well as affordability for individuals and communities. It is very essential to provide electricity for them. Electrification in rural and isolated area is the crying need of Bangladesh. So, agricultural and industrial production is greatly hampering in rural areas. Most of the rural area is not connected with the national grid. Therefore, electricity shortage is an acute crisis in Bangladesh. Misuse, system loss and corruption in power sector are the main issue regarding this crisis. Moreover, most of the power plants are gas based which will be phased out in near future. Gradually the fissure between demand and production is escalating. In Bangladesh, the crisis of power is a major problem. Sufficient and reliable source of electricity is a major prerequisite for a sustained and successful economic development and poverty reduction. As technology is advancing, the consumption of power is steadily rising. The living standard and prosperity of a nation vary directly with increase in use of power. The study shows that the EES will generate a higher profit if it is cycled more frequently (hence a higher lifetime electricity output) although the lifetime is reduced due to degradation. The results show the impact of capital cost: the Li-ion project is unprofitable in Kenya with a capital cost of 1500 $/kWh, but is profitable at 200 $/kWh. The EES is coupled with photovoltaics and an anaerobic digestion biogas power plant. Real-life solar irradiance, load, and retail electricity price data from Kenya are used to develop a set of case studies. ![]() A discounted cash flow model for the Li-ion EES is introduced and applied to examine the financial performance of three EES operating scenarios. This work is a significant step forward since traditional analysis on EES are based on oversimplified and unrealistic economic models. ![]() This paper presents a state-of-the-art financial model obtaining novel and significative financial and economics results when applied to Li-ion EES. Several techno-economic analyses have been performed on EES, but few have investigated the financial performance. Electrical energy storage (EES) such as lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries can reduce curtailment of renewables, maximizing renewable utilization by storing surplus electricity.
